Business Analyst (Commercial & Finance) Our client is seeking a commercially minded Business Analyst to support strategic decision-making across a regional organisation. Working closely with Finance, Sales and Operations, you will turn data into actionable business insights, support financial planning activities and help drive business growth through informed decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial awareness and enjoys partnering with stakeholders across the business to solve complex challenges.
Responsibilities
Analyse commercial, financial and operational performance across the region.
Develop business cases to support strategic investments and growth initiatives.
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
Partner with Sales teams to understand performance drivers and identify improvement opportunities.
Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
Extract, structure and analyse data from ERP and business intelligence platforms.
Produce management reporting and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau.
Support ERP transformation projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
Participate in data integration and EDI-related projects with external partners and suppliers.
Challenge assumptions, improve processes and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
Experience in Business Analysis, Commercial Analytics, FP&A, Business Intelligence or a similar analytical role.
Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to build business cases and support strategic decision-making.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP system.
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense or Tableau is preferred.
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migrations, ERP transformations or EDI integration projects would be advantageous.
Fluent English,German and French are essential; Italian would be a strong plus.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across Finance, Sales and Operations.
Quick learner with a proactive, commercially minded and solution-oriented approach.
Comfortable challenging assumptions and providing data-driven recommendations.
Motivated to contribute to long-term business growth and performance.
