Interim Head of Finance in Frankfurt am Main

We are supporting a recently acquired, PE-backed industrial technology business in the appointment of an experienced Interim Head of Finance. The role will be carried out on a 3 day per week basis with at least 1 day in the office.

The shareholder is looking for a hands-on finance leader who can strengthen the existing finance function, improve processes and provide immediate support across budgeting, reporting and cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading and supporting the budgeting and planning process.
• Reviewing and improving accounting processes, standards and controls.
• Strengthening management reporting and financial information.
• Supporting cash management and liquidity planning.
• Identifying opportunities to improve and digitise finance processes.
• Professionalising the finance function to support future growth.
• Improving the quality and efficiency of financial processes and reporting.
• Working closely with the shareholder and management team on financial performance and value creation.

Ideal Profile:

• Strong experience across financial control, accounting and reporting.
• Proven budgeting and planning experience.
• Experience improving finance processes and controls.
• Experience working in an SME or mid-market environment.
• Exposure to PE-backed, M&A or post-acquisition environments.
• Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing or industrial technology businesses.
• An interest in finance digitalisation and process improvement.
• The ability to work independently and make an immediate impact.
