About the Role
As the Head of R&D Strategy & Ecosystem Development at Ericsson Antenna Systems (EAS), you will play a key role in shaping the future of our global R&D organization. Working closely with the Head of R&D and as part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing a world-class antenna development ecosystem.
Your mission is to expand and optimize our global R&D network by fostering partnerships with internal teams, external suppliers, and development partners. By driving innovation, increasing efficiency, and enhancing flexibility, you will help deliver a competitive portfolio while optimizing costs. A strong customer focus and a strategic mindset are essential in this role. You will also build and maintain strong relationships across Ericsson’s networks organizations.
What You’ll Do
- Shape Strategy & Drive Transformation: Define and implement the strategic direction for EAS R&D in collaboration with leadership. Lead cultural and organizational transformation to establish a highly efficient, competitive global R&D ecosystem.
- Develop & Expand the R&D Ecosystem: Build and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance innovation, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Executive-Level Decision Making: Prepare and present strategic initiatives to secure leadership alignment and drive impactful business decisions.
- Optimize Operations & Performance: Oversee budget planning and financial controls, ensuring cost-effectiveness and long-term sustainability.
- Enhance Relationship Management: Establish structured business reviews to monitor progress, quality, financial planning, and competency development.
- Identify Opportunities for Growth: Develop strategic plans that highlight new business opportunities, innovation potential, and competitive advantages.
- Business Transformation: In close collaboration with the Head or R&D, act as strategic sparring partner and jointly work on transforming ideas into strategic initiatives.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in strategy, transformation, and business development.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes, from development to supply chain management.
- Strong background in R&D, program management, and project execution.
- Expertise in R&D finance and controlling, including CAPEX, OPEX, and business case analysis.
- Analytical mindset with a structured, scenario-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to simplify complexity and drive clarity in challenging situations.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and questioning the status quo.
- University degree in engineering or a related field.
