This will suit a proactive HRBP with 3-5 years’ experience (proficient English & German languages) who enjoys providing generalist HR operational support across the whole employee lifecycle, and seeks variety, a level of autonomy and exceptional learning within an international environment.
The Opportunity
Esko is a leading global provider of printing & packaging technology (hardware, software, AI, services etc), enabling businesses around the world to produce the best packaging for billions of consumers.
Reporting to a highly experienced HR Director EMEA, the HR Business Partner EMEA will be Esko’s sole Germany-based HRBP, primarily providing HR support and advice to our ~125 associates in Germany, plus additional remote support across the wider EMEA region as needed.
The HR Business Partner EMEA is focused on executing all elements of day-to-day operational HR across the entire employee lifecycle. Strategic HR falls outside of the remit of this position and HR administration is conducted by our HR Service Centre.
This is a hybrid role, working from home in Schleswig-Holstein (Hamburg, Kiel etc) with 2 days a week on-site at our vibrant machine manufacturing site in Itzehoe and 2 trips each quarter to our Ghent, Belgium HQ to connect with the EMEA HR Team and other associates.
In this role, you will:
- Act as HR Business Partner for Esko EMEA, in a matrix organization, with focus on Germany. Enable business results by driving the full people agenda spanning associate experience, recruitment, leadership & talent development, organizational culture, and compliance, HR systems/processes, compensation & benefits.
- Create and implement HR initiatives focused on achieving business & HR objectives and provide hands-on HR expertise in the areas of employee relations, talent management, culture (employee engagement, DEI) and more.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Esko business and act as a collaborative member of the HR teams (Center of Excellence, Service Partners, Learning and Development, Corporate HR), partnering closely with the business leaders at all levels of the organization and in different countries/from different cultures to drive HR initiatives.
- Share qualitative and data-driven insights in a timely fashion to leaders and partners that help craft the direction and delivery of business actions. Assists in evaluation of reports and results against metrics of Human Resources department in relation to established goals.
- Collaborate with the Works Council and lead on all HR-related matters.
- Deploy Veralto’s Enterprise System tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness in daily management/delivery of HR support through continuous improvement.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- 3-5+ years’ broad HR generalist/business partner experience, ideally in a fast-paced, large international company environment.
- Master’s/Bachelor’s in business administration, HR, Industrial Relations, Organizational Psychology, or a related subject area or equivalent by experience.
- Strong communication skills (proficient English and advanced German – B2 and above), emotional intelligence, collaboration and partnering skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn and develop, with a high level of energy and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Flexible to work at the Itzehoe office 2 days per week and travel twice each quarter to our global HQ in Ghent, Belgium.
