For our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed: Facilities Technician / Betriebstechniker (Water Systems) (m/f/d).
As Facilities Technician you are responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Ultrapure Water (UPW), Process Cooling Water (PCW), Industrial Reclaim, and Industrial Wastewater Treatment (WWT) systems and equipment.
You play the pivotal role to ensure standard operating procedures are followed accurately and reliably to ensure our fab follows highest environmental protection standards.
By performing laboratory testing and systematic verification and alignment of measurements from various instruments, sensors, and equipment our fab can run smoothly thanks to your work.
To ensure 24‑hour operations, our Fab Technicians will work in a shift model in cooperation with other Technicians, Engineers, and Managers to ensure that all process specifications are met at all times.
- Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workplace, follow all safety policies and procedures at all times and make recommendations for continuous improvement of work methods, safety, materials, and tool handling.
- Operate and control systems and equipment for Ultrapure Water, Process Cooling Water, Industrial Reclaim, and Industrial Waste Treatment.
- Observe gauges, signals and recording instruments to effectively monitor critical limits.
- Perform standard diagnostics, monitor site performance indicators and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for interruptions or incidents.
- Perform troubleshooting, emergency and corrective maintenance and repair actions.
- Draw samples and perform temperature, p H, gas‑analyses or other standard tests in conformity with plant standards.
- Maintain log of gauge readings, shift throughput, and equipment malfunctions.
- Patrol area to inspect equipment and record tank levels and gauge readings.
- Ensure processing conditions and process output are within regulatory limits and alert management of discrepancies.
- Perform standard and non‑standard equipment maintenance, repairs and modifications to ensure smooth operations inline with environmental protection requirements.
- Job Qualifications
- Eligible to work in Germany and available for 3 months of on‑the‑job training in Taiwan.
- Technician or equivalent technical apprenticeship education in Water Treatment Systems, Water Technology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a facilities, utilities, or water treatment related role.
- Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment with rotating shifts or on‑call duties.
- Deep interest in mechanical, chemical, and electrical principles related to water treatment systems.
- Language Skills
Good command of English with good command of German to communicate in our international workplace.
- Professional Skills
- Basic computer skills, ability to learn usage of standard maintenance and process monitoring software.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals and process schematics.
- Capable of working independently and cooperatively with other Technicians, Engineers, and Managers with a strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and problem‑solving.
