Postdoctoral Researcher (gn) (full-time, 40 hrs./week, starting in July 2027, 3 years, renewable once for up to 6 years) and help shapingthe future by bringing your expertise and passion to ESMT.

What makes you a great fit

• Ph.D. in economics, finance, or a related field by the start date
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent empirical and/or theoretical research on the formation and role of subjective beliefs in economic decision-making
• Experience with methods for working with unstructured data
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis
• Prior experience running information-provision experiments embedded in surveys is a plus
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is advantageous but not required

How you will make a difference

• Contribute to the Centers internationally visible research agenda
• Conduct independent research in the areas of belief formation in macroeconomics and finance
• Supervise, mentor, and coordinate pre-doctoral research assistants
• Actively participate in the strategic development of the research program
• Present research findings at national and international conferences
• Contribute to the preparation of grant applications
• No teaching obligations
