In this role you will help shape Reality Engine, a cutting-edge 3D reconstruction platform. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, high-performance software for 3D data from images and lidar, enabling impactful GIS and social-environmental applications. You drive the technical direction in a fast-growing community of reality-capture users and push advancements across computer vision, photogrammetry, ML, and graphics. This is a mission-driven opportunity at Esri’s Stuttgart R&D center to move 3D data processing to new scales and real-world impact.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Collaborate in a team to create industry-leading software for 3D reconstruction from images and lidar, scene understanding and visualization
- Develop scalable, high-performance software enabling GIS-powered social and environmental innovation
- Build products to process Images, Point Clouds, Textured Meshes and Gaussian Splats at scale using HPC and GPU acceleration
- Advance state-of-the-art algorithms across computer vision, photogrammetry, machine learning, and computer graphics
- Shape product vision and technical direction for a growing community of reality-capture users
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 5+ years of professional experience in production C++ (modern standards, performance optimization)
- Experience designing and delivering complex software components in production
- Proven ability to research, design, implement, test, debug in large shared codebases
- Eagerness to grow in team communication and self-leadership with mentoring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geomatics Engineering, or related field
- Fluent English; German a plus
- Existing work authorization for Germany
