The position is based in our office in Hamburg/Germany or Mölndal / Sweden. Essity’s office in Hamburg is one of Essity’s key office locations in Germany and located on Schützenstraße 1-3. Around 400 employees work at the site, bringing together a broad range of functions and business areas in a modern and collaborative work environment. The site is located close to train and bus stations and offers a parking garage for cars and bikes. The Mölndal office is located on Mölndals bro 2, just a couple of minutes from Mölndal train station, offers you to be part of an international business setting with over 1 000 employees and many contacts across different functions, units and countries. Besides the Essity bistro, several outside alternatives for lunch are close by, both in the Hamburg and Mölndal locations. About the Role

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for enabling regulatory compliance and supporting the organization in understanding the requirements for assigned products developed, produced, and delivered. The role involves both strategic and operational tasks and acts as an advisor on regulatory affairs towards innovation and change projects and to internal and external business stakeholders. The purpose of the role is to ensure that technical documentation and product requirements are in accordance with internal regulatory and quality processes. This is done to ensure that we obtain and maintain market authorization internationally under relevant product regulations. The position has global reach and works together with colleagues and business partners throughout the world. What You Will Do

You will be part of our Skincare & Hygiene Solutions team, focusing on product areas such as cosmetics, biocides, air care, detergents, perfumes, dispensers and consumer goods.

  • Enable compliance with GPSR across all relevant EU markets by providing regulatory advice to the organization
  • Perform regulatory classifications of assigned products.
  • Monitor, interpret and assess GPSR and translate regulatory requirements into actionable internal guidelines
  • Supporting the compilation of technical product files necessary for registration/notification of assigned products.
  • Assisting with the collection of regulatory documentation and statements necessary for registration/notification both locally and internationally, including administration of the cases.
  • Perform or support notifications in markets where Essity is present.
  • Establishing and maintaining a regulatory authorization overview for the registration of assigned products.
  • Working proactively with the Regulatory Affairs Managers and Product Safety Specialists in the group to improve ways of working.

Who You Are

We are ideally looking for a person with a few years of working experience who has a curious mindset and a flexible personality and who would like to develop in the field of regulatory affairs. You enjoy working in a global cross-functional environment with high speed and pursue tasks with diligence, energy, and a drive for valuable results. You are a self-led person who takes responsibility for your tasks and is motivated by taking initiative and pursuing your projects efficiently towards completion.

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, technical, or pharmaceutical studies or equivalent as a minimum.
  • Relevant work experience (e.g., regulatory, quality, compliance, product safety, cosmetics or biocides).
  • Experience with and knowledge of GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation) is highly meritorious.
  • Advanced experience in documentation.
  • Business-minded, result-driven and service minded.
  • Excellent communication skills with different internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills as well as methodological knowledge.

It is an advantage to have the ability to navigate in a complex matrix organization as this will be your daily work environment.
