About the Role
This position is located in Hamburg, Germany and reports to the Global Technology Manager Medical. The contract is limited for 3 Years (this applies to a tariff position). What you will do
- Drive the development, standardization and implementation of manufacturing technologies across Essity Medical to support growth and operational excellence
- Establish and maintain global technology standards, equipment specifications and manufacturing best practices to ensure consistency and compliance
- Lead technical and manufacturing technology workstreams within major investment and industrialization projects, providing expertise from concept development through implementation and supporting technology transfer, start-up and ramp-up
- Scout, evaluate and introduce innovative manufacturing technologies and industry trends to strengthen Essity’s future capabilities
- Provide technical leadership in equipment selection, supplier engagement, requirement definition, technology assessments and design reviews
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross‑functional stakeholders to develop robust, scalable and sustainable manufacturing solutions while improving safety, quality and performance across the global Medical network
Who you are

- University degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Other engineering backgrounds with relevant experience are also welcome
- Several years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, technology development or capital investment projects, preferably in an international environment
- Solid understanding of manufacturing equipment, automation, machine design and industrial production processes; experience in regulated industries is an advantage
- Proven ability to define technical requirements, equipment specifications, technology standards and manufacturing concepts
- Strong capability to drive technical topics, influence stakeholders and collaborate effectively across functions, sites and cultures
- Curious and innovative mindset, combined with strong communication skills, a hands‑on approach, willingness to travel internationally, and fluency in English. German and additional languages are considered an advantage
