Working in a Product Team together with engineers, a Tech Lead, and close delivery partners, the Product Owner defines the product vision for the owned domain, maintains and prioritises the backlog, and ensures each delivery cycle moves the service measurably closer to its OKRs. /p pIn our Business service "Digital Offering within team bSHOP /b", this means balancing user value, business feasibility, delivery sequencing, and cross‑team dependencies across customer journeys and operational flows. The role requires strong product discovery, rigorous backlog management, clear requirements engineering, and confident stakeholder coordination across product, engineering, operations, and business‑facing teams. /p pCompared with the company‑wide Product Owner description, the SHOP context adds a distinct mix of product work that the new Product Owner will inherit and continue to shape. /p ul liComplex digital journey ownership: the domain includes offer completion flows, happy and unhappy path handling, validation logic, premium indication behavior, application assessment, and return or save journeys. /li liCustomer project delivery: SHOP contributes work packages to customer projects. The Product Owner takes over end‑to‑end ownership for these packages including scoping, planning, sequencing against the roadmap, tracking progress and budget, and steering them to completion together with the Tech Lead and delivery partners. /li liStrong UX and testing feedback loop: a noticeable share of recent work has come from user interviews, testing feedback, UI refinements, and iteration on document and journey details. /li liCross‑system and cross‑team coordination: multiple initiatives depend on alignment with other business services (PRIME and SODA), especially for handovers, endpoints, workflow orchestration, and data synchronization. /li liDomain‑heavy requirements work: the role must translate insurance process logic, legal‑form‑driven rules, coverage behavior, pre‑insurer handling, underwriting history, and health survey interactions into clear implementation‑ready backlog items. /li liOperational quality ownership: the current ticket landscape includes feature work, spikes, defects, QA topics, performance improvements, and delivery follow‑up, which means the role needs strong judgment on trade‑offs between innovation, stability, and flow efficiency. /li /ul pIn practice, the ideal candidate can move fluently between discovery, requirements, prioritisation, stakeholder alignment, and delivery follow‑through. /p h3What You Will Be Responsible For /h3 ul liDefine and maintain the product vision and roadmap for the owned SHOP business service, ensuring every major initiative links clearly to OKRs and company strategy. /li liOwn, groom, and prioritise the backlog so implementation‑ready items have clear acceptance criteria, relevant context, and sequencing that supports efficient sprint execution. /li liDrive product discovery through usage analysis, testing feedback, stakeholder input, and user insights to identify the most valuable improvements in the SHOP journey. /li liTranslate complex business and system behavior into precise requirements for topics such as offer completion, validation rules, product coverage display, document experience, contact request flows, and operational edge cases. /li liCoordinate proactively with dependent teams internally and demanding stakeholders externally, and management so cross‑team dependencies are identified early and delivery risks are handled before they block execution. /li liEnsure product decisions are objective, data‑driven, and aligned with UX standards, business priorities, and esurance product principles. /li liOwn OKR tracking and support budget transparency for the owned business service, escalating with context and solution options when trade‑offs or risks arise. /li liDocument product decisions, business service logic, requirements, and roadmap context clearly enough that team members can work with a high degree of self‑sufficiency. /li /ul h3Essential Qualifications /h3 ul liProven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a digital product environment, with clear ownership of backlog, prioritisation, and outcome delivery. /li liStrong product discovery and requirements engineering skills, including the ability to turn ambiguous business needs into implementable, well‑structured backlog items. /li liExperience managing cross‑team dependencies and aligning a broad stakeholder group without losing momentum in delivery. /li liConfidence using data, testing insights, and real user behavior to guide decisions rather than relying on opinion alone. /li liHands‑on working knowledge of Google Workspace, Jira and Confluence, with a disciplined approach to documentation and backlog hygiene. /li liAbility to work effectively in a domain where customer journey design, business rules, technical constraints, and operational quality all matter at once. /li /ul h3Bonus Skills /h3 ul liExperience in Swiss health insurance, regulated digital products, or other process‑heavy service environments. /li liFamiliarity with product analytics, experimentation, and structured validation methods. /li liExperience working on multi‑step forms, document‑heavy journeys, workflow‑driven products, or cross‑system service orchestration. /li liApplied AI methodologies in your workflows with Claude Cowork or similar. /li /ul h3Collaboration and interpersonal strengths /h3 ul liClear and structured communicator who can explain priorities, trade‑offs, and rationale to engineers, peers, and leadership. /li liProactive collaborator who surfaces blockers early and drives alignment before issues become delivery problems. /li liCalm, outcome‑oriented stakeholder manager who can handle conflicting priorities with evidence and clarity. /li /ul h3Languages: /h3 ul liSwiss‑German or German (near native‑level), required AND /li liEnglish (fluent, B2+), required /li /ul h3What You Can Expect /h3 pA dynamic, ambitious team where your voice is heard, and your contributions truly matter.
