The President is elected upon the recommendation of the Grand Council.Requirements:- Law degree or Master of Law.- Sufficient practical knowledge for the exercise of the office.- The advertisement is aimed at persons with interest and experience in criminal and civil law.- Employment level 50% (with prospect of increase to 100%): The position is advertised with an employment level of 50%. Subject to budget approval, there is the possibility to increase the employment level to 100%. Applicants who are interested in this possibility are requested to indicate this in their application.- Mastery of the German language with good knowledge of the French language.- Voting rights in cantonal matters. Foreign nationals must hold a settlement permit and have resided in the canton for five years.- There must be no certificates of indebtedness against the persons.
