The Office for Food Safety and Veterinary Affairs (LSVW) is tasked with protecting consumers through inspections and analyses from health-threatening foodstuffs and consumer goods as well as from deception related to food, and ensuring the welfare and health of animals both for their own sake and for the benefit of humans.

Your missions
- You develop and validate, within the scope of SAAV's field of activity, new analytical methods for current chemical issues in the food and consumer goods sector - You support the chemistry sector in technical, operational, handling and professional matters and also perform, to some extent, troubleshooting of the modern equipment fleet - You ensure that the work you carry out complies with the requirements of the QMS and actively participate in various QA-related activities - You regularly perform routine analyses of official samples - As the quality assurance manager (QAM) of SAAV, you ensure that the accredited areas (ISO 17025/17020) successfully carry out the corresponding activities. This mission involves participating proactively in the continuous improvement of the quality management system, relevant QMS document management, preparation for and participation in authority audits, as well as verification and approval of related quality management documents - You assist, as needed, your superior in other tasks
Desired profile
- Holder of a Bachelor of Science HES in analytical chemistry or a Master’s degree in chemistry or equivalent engineering training - You have extensive experience in trace chemical analysis of compounds and solid knowledge as well as practical experience with the following analytical techniques: LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, IC, ICP-MS and other modern analytical techniques - You have practical experience in quality management systems (especially ISO EN 17025 and 17020 standards) - You are proficient with common IT tools - Committed, efficient, precise, you know how to manage priorities with practical sense and are capable of working in a team or independently - High sense of responsibility and confidentiality, excellent problem-solving skills and beneficial to various teams - Flexible and available, you combine sociability, empathy and discretion - Fluency in German or French with very good knowledge of the other language and good knowledge of English
