John Street Capital is an established and growing quantitative investment firm with offices in London and Zug, Switzerland. The investment team is made up of ex Goldman Sachs and Winton Capital employees. The team has won multiple awards in recognition of its performance. Whilst managing over $3bn of AUM, the team is still small, retaining a friendly, dynamic and informal start-up culture.
As a quantitative manager, we constantly seek to automate the trading and operational aspects of our business. Joining a small team of programmers and working across the firm, you will learn the day-to-day operations of a systematic hedge fund and assist in the development of applications that underpin the front, mid and back-office functionality of the business.
This role would suit a high performing graduate with a longstanding interest in computers and programming, looking to pursue this interest into their career. No prior knowledge of finance or systematic trading is necessary, but you must be strong quantitatively and enjoy a degree of self-sufficiency and proactivity in your work.
The primary technologies used in this role are C#/.NET, SQL Server, Git, Windows.
Requirements
- Forthcoming or recent graduate (up to summer 2026 or up to 2 years’ professional work experience).
- Solid foundation across programming languages and technologies.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- High-scoring BSc/MSc in a STEM discipline.
Nice to have
- Relevant projects or work experience outside of academia.
