Overview
In this doctoral role you will investigate how particle-scale friction shapes the macroscopic flow of dense suspensions. You’ll combine physics-based modeling, simulations, and theory, working with experiments from the ETH Department of Materials. The position sits in an interdisciplinary team focused on failure mechanics, with the aim to develop predictive tools linking microscopic interactions to macroscopic behavior. You’ll contribute to a collaborative environment that values curiosity, rigor, and the translation of insights into resilient materials and structures. This is a chance to shape understanding at the interface of mechanics and soft matter, across scales and with experimental伙伴
