Overview
In this PhD role you develop high-resolution tomographic methods to study vibrations in rod bundles. You will build a single-rod and rod-bundle setup, perform measurements with our gamma-tomography system, and apply AI-enhanced reconstruction and machine learning for noise reduction. You will work in an international, cross-institutional setting, combining experimental work with data analytics to advance decarbonization-focused engineering applications. This position offers cross-disciplinary training and exposure to both academic and industrial partners, with opportunities for secondments across Europe.

- Master's degree in engineering, physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or closely related field
- Strong background in mathematics and machine learning
