DevSecOps Engineer / Platform Automation Engineer / CI/CD Engineer

The DevSecOps Engineer / Platform Automation Engineer / CI/CD Engineer develops secure, reliable, and automated software delivery capabilities. These positions help engineering teams build, test, release, and operate applications efficiently by integrating infrastructure automation, delivery pipelines, and security controls into repeatable workflows.

The position works closely with Software Engineering, Security, Cloud Infrastructure, Quality Assurance, and Site Reliability teams. Responsibilities include maintaining build and deployment pipelines, automating environment provisioning, managing reusable configurations, and troubleshooting delivery failures. The role implements appropriate testing and approval controls, manages pipeline credentials and dependencies, and provides monitoring and documentation that help teams understand and resolve operational issues.

For DevSecOps Engineers, the emphasis is on integrating security testing, vulnerability remediation, secrets management, and software supply-chain safeguards throughout delivery. Platform Automation Engineers build reusable infrastructure modules, self-service capabilities, and standardised environments that improve developer productivity. CI/CD Engineers focus on build systems, test orchestration, artifact management, and dependable release workflows. Across these positions, the role balances delivery speed with security, maintainability, and operational resilience, using measurable improvements to reduce manual work and strengthen engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure automation, security engineering, or CI/CD development.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, version control, automated testing, release management, and environment promotion.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable platforms.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, or another language used for automation and engineering tools.
• Experience implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or equivalent technologies.
• Practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, identity, and access controls.
• Experience with Docker and familiarity with Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms.
• For DevSecOps Engineer positions, experience integrating code analysis, dependency scanning, container scanning, and infrastructure security checks into delivery workflows.
• Understanding of secrets management, least-privilege access, artifact integrity, and remediation processes for identified security weaknesses.
• For Platform Automation Engineer positions, experience developing reusable infrastructure components, self-service workflows, and consistent environment configurations.
• For CI/CD Engineer positions, experience optimising build performance, managing artifacts, coordinating automated tests, and implementing deployment and rollback workflows.
• Ability to troubleshoot failures across source repositories, build runners, deployment tools, infrastructure, and application environments.
• Experience implementing logs, metrics, alerts, technical documentation, and version-controlled changes to support reliable operations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate engineering requirements into maintainable automation.
