Ethos, an expert network backed by General Catalyst and built by a McKinsey/SoftBank/DeepMind team, is seeking experienced trademark attorneys to assist a leading foundational AI lab in training language models on professional legal document tasks.
Key Eligibility Criteria
- Licensed attorney with 4+ years of experience practicing trademark and/or copyright law (firm or in-house IP team).
- Direct ownership of drafting or reviewing trademark filings, office-action responses, or infringement opinions.
- Expert-level proficiency in document, spreadsheet, and slide deck creation with excellent written communication.
Responsibilities & Scope of Work
- Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
- Focus areas include trademark clearance/registrability opinions, office-action responses, copyright infringement/fair-use analyses, licensing/assignment agreement review, cease-and-desist correspondence, and portfolio/docket trackers.
Stipend, Compensation & Mode
- Rate: $100/hour
- Weekly Cap: Up to $2,000/week
- Commitment: Flexible, 5-20 hours per week
- Location: Fully remote
