The Role
As a vital member of our Academic Department, you are the bridge between student ambition and academic success.
You won't just manage records; you will guide, mentor, and support students through their entire academic journey: driving retention, engagement, and excellence at our institution.
- 1. Strategic Academic Counselling
- Pathways & Planning: Provide expert guidance on study plans, course selection, and specialization choices.
- Proactive Success: Monitor performance (GPA/Attendance) and lead intervention strategies for at-risk students.
- Case Management: Navigate complex cases including mitigating circumstances, academic appeals, and disciplinary matters.
- Lifecycle Support: Conduct academic reviews, manage re-enrolments, and lead exit interviews to improve institutional outcomes.
- 2. Operational & Data Excellence
- Systems Mastery: Maintain precision in GS Base and Moodle, ensuring all student records and statuses are current.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize Power BI reports to track progression and identify trends.
- Academic Flow: Coordinate registrations, postponements, and inter-campus transfers.
- Exams & Events: Manage re-sit arrangements and provide administrative backbone for Business Immersion Weeks.
- Campus Readiness: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring classrooms are prepared for delivery and teaching excellence.
- Financial Stewardship: Generate Delivery Notes (DNs) for fees and communicate administrative implications of overdue accounts.
- 3. Student Engagement & Experience
- Voice of the Student: Administer Satisfaction Surveys and implement follow-up actions that actually move the needle.
- Communication: Act as the primary conduit for academic policies, updates, and deadlines.
- Community Building: Support Orientation Programs, workshops, and high-energy engagement activities.
Your Profile
- You hold a Bachelor's degree (Education, Psychology, or Business preferred).
- Proven experience in Academic Counselling, Student Services or Higher Ed Administration is essential.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, Moodle, and Power BI. You have a high degree of accuracy with data management.
- Communicator-You possess exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Collaborator-You thrive when working cross-functionally with Admissions, Finance, and Quality departments.
