Job Description

1. You are responsible for the development of data strategies (incl. governance) and the further development of data management.
2. You interpret and deliver impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
3. You define and manage standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality and governance.
4. You manage senior business stakeholders to secure strong engagement and ensure that the delivery of the project aligns with longer-term strategic roadmaps.
5. You simplify the existing data architecture, delivering reusable services and cost-saving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the company.
6. You lead and participate in the peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts across the Enterprise Architecture.
7. You ensure technology solutions are in alignment with data architecture principles and target state.
8. You evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and roles for data management, storage, and analytics.

Qualifications

1. Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as data-mesh, cloud services (Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake).
2. Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle.
3. Understanding of entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques.
4. Ability to assess traditional and modern data architecture components based on business needs.
5. Experience with business intelligence tools and technologies such as ETL, Power BI, and Tableau.
6. Ability to regularly learn and adopt new technology, especially in the ML/AI realm.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to synthesize and clearly communicate large volumes of complex information to senior management of various technical understandings.
9. Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions and recommendations to business needs and client culture.
10. You can express yourself well in German and English, both orally and in writing.
