- Overview
An established SAP logistics consulting organisation is seeking an experienced Senior / Principal SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Consultant to support complex warehouse and supply chain transformation programmes.
The role focuses on the implementation, migration, and optimisation of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) solutions across enterprise customer environments.
You will work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and technical specialists to design scalable warehouse and material flow processes, deliver customer-specific SAP EWM solutions, and support successful go-lives across projects in the DACH region and, where required, international environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP EWM implementation, migration, and optimisation activities across customer projects.
- Analyse existing warehouse and logistics processes and translate business requirements into SAP EWM solution designs.
- Design complex warehouse, inbound, outbound, inventory, and material flow processes.
- Configure and customise SAP EWM functionality in line with operational and business requirements.
- Develop solution concepts, functional specifications, and best-practice process templates.
- Conduct workshops, testing activities, user training, and go-live support.
- Collaborate with development and integration teams on customer-specific enhancements and interfaces.
- Manage functional workstreams, project deliverables, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal methodologies, standards, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
About You
- Degree in Business Informatics, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Several years of hands-on experience with SAP EWM implementations and support.
- Strong technical understanding of warehouse management and logistics processes.
- Solid experience in SAP EWM configuration/customising and solution concept development.
- Experience leading project workstreams or functional teams is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to delivery.
- Fluent German and good English language skills are required.
- Willingness to travel during key project phases, primarily within the DACH region.
