- Overview
An established SAP consulting organisation is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to support complex logistics and supply chain transformation programmes.
The role focuses on the implementation, optimisation, and rollout of SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) solutions across enterprise customer environments.
You will take ownership of functional workstreams or sub-projects, working closely with business stakeholders, logistics teams, and technical specialists to deliver scalable transportation solutions from requirements gathering through to go-live and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead SAP TM implementation and optimisation activities across customer projects.
- Conduct workshops to gather and validate transportation and logistics requirements.
- Analyse existing supply chain and transportation processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Design end-to-end SAP TM solution concepts aligned with business and operational goals.
- Configure and customise SAP TM functionality, including planning, execution, freight management, and settlement processes.
- Manage project workstreams, sub-projects, or functional delivery areas throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across logistics, warehouse, finance, and integration domains.
- Support testing activities, data migration, cutover planning, and go-live execution.
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal best practices, methodologies, and knowledge sharing.
About You
- Degree in Business Informatics, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Several years of SAP consulting experience, with a strong focus on SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM).
- Hands‑on experience with process analysis, solution design, and SAP TM configuration/customising.
- Experience leading project workstreams, sub‑projects, or functional teams within customer environments.
- Strong understanding of transportation, freight, and supply chain business processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.
- Structured, analytical, and solution‑oriented approach to delivery.
- Fluent German and professional English language skills are required.
- Willingness to travel during key project phases when required.
