Our bodies evaluate, test, and certify products designed for use in explosive atmospheres for many different regions, including the United Kingdom (UKCA/UKEX), European Union (CE/ATEX), North America (MET Mark for USA and Canada) and Japan. We are also an ExCB and ExTL under the IECEx certification scheme. Our customers are located across the world and are primarily manufacturers of process and industrial equipment used in the Oil and Gas, Chemical and Mining industries.
To support our existing team in the United Kingdom in delivering its services to existing and new clients in Germany and surroundingregions, Eurofins is looking for an experiencedTechnical Specialist (m/f/d)located within Germany, to be is responsible for the evaluation, testing and certification of equipment for use in explosive atmospheres.
Job Description
- Support of existing and new clients in Germany and surrounding regions
- Development of client relationships, including the introducing of new clients to Eurofins and the handling of enquiries
- Development of a “sales pipeline”
- Assessment of products designed to national and international standards of hazardous area / ordinary location
- Preparation of technical reports
- Management of project budgetsas well as the successful delivery of certification projects within agreed time frames
- Management of clients with regular project reviews and updates
- Technical advice meetings with clients
Qualifications
- Applicable higher education qualification in electrical, electronicor mechanical engineering is required
- Knowledge and experience in the application of the requirements of the ATEX Directive
- Knowledge and experience in the application of the requirements of the IECEx certification system
- Experience in the evaluation and testing requirements of the IEC 60079 series of standards from working in either a manufacturer of Ex productsor in a certification body, test laboratory or notified body for Ex products
- Good commercial awareness
- Enthusiastic, proactive, pragmaticand thorough
- Excellent verbal and written German and English communication skills are essential
- Ability to manage multiple activities at once
- Collaborative work ethic
- Demonstrable desire to deliver outstanding service internally and externally
