Job Advert – Activity Teacher 2026
Are you either a schoolteacher, a trainee teacher or are you studying teaching and looking for a summer job? Do you hold a teaching degree or TEFL certificate? This job is more than teaching, as it will involve the supervision of young people during their free time as well.
The Job
Students between the ages of 10 to 17yrs travel to our centre in Germany and take part in lessons in the mornings and trips and activities in the afternoons and evenings. The job of the Activity Teacher is to deliver quality language classes in the mornings and creative activity programme in the afternoons and evening, alongside ensuring well‑fare and safeguarding of the students. This is a residential position; accommodation is offered on site and includes all meals.
Requirements
- Full time availability from 02/07/2026 until 16/08/2026 (depending on the centre, 2 weeks minimum)
- English native speaker or native level speaker, eligible to work in Germany
- Qualification to teach English: TEFL or CELTA
- Professional experience in summer/holiday camps or similar structures preferred
- Experience and interest in working with children, an outgoing personality with the ability to lead and motivate young people
- Sporty or creative, reliable, flexible and open minded
- Successfully complete our pre‑season online training sessions
- First Aid Certificate (8 hours, not older than 2 years)
- Police clearance or DBS certificate (not older than 1 year)
Safeguarding our young students is the most important priority for our school and as such no contracts will be awarded without full ID checks, references and appropriate police/DBS checks.
Remuneration
- Contractors will receive 350 GBP or 420 Euros weekly to be invoiced in arrears.
- Travel expenses of up to 210 GBP or 230 Euros
- Full‑board accommodation is included for the summer season
