Your Responsibilities

  • Collaboration in teaching and participation in selected courses, as well as assistance in the supervision of students in the context of exercises, internships, seminars, etc.
  • Research in the field of data management, software development or artificial intelligence or in their intersecting areas
  • Collaboration in research projects of the institute
  • Writing scientific publications and presenting them at international conferences
  • Writing a dissertation and corresponding publications in the field of data management
  • Collaboration in administrative activities, such as project participation and administration, including collaboration in any reporting and application tasks

Your Profile

  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Commitment and initiative
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills

Admission Requirements

Completed Master\’s or Diploma degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering and Management, or Information and Computer Engineering, or equivalent fields of study.

We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 52,007.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

Organisational Unit

The Institute of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence is concerned with the theoretical, practical and applied aspects of software engineering. Research lies in the field of intelligent systems, formal verification and systematic testing of software, artificial intelligence, requirements engineering, recommender systems, optimization of industrial problems, game theory, agile software development processes, computer languages, computer science education, management of software development projects (including knowledge management), software development for and on smartphones and tablets, and intelligent autonomous robots. Furthermore, the institute deals with the teaching of artificial intelligence in schools.
