The Johannes Kepler University Linz is a leading institution in Upper Austria, dedicated to education and research. We are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant (must hold a Diploma/Master\’s degree) for a full-time, four-year position in the Institute of Modern and Contemporary History .

Job Duties:

• Conducting a dissertation project focusing on modern or contemporary history
• Teaching a course of two semester hours per week
• Participating in the administration of the institute and preparing for the Contemporary History Day 2026

Qualifications:

• Completed diploma/master\’s degree in history, focusing on modern or contemporary history
• Excellent German skills (level C1) and very good English skills (level B2+)
