The position holder should conduct excellent research in the field of low regularity spacetime geometry, singularity theorems and synthetic extensions of Lorentzian geometry. He*she should be internationally visible in both Lorentzian geometry and mathematical general relativity. The position holder is expected to collaborate with the FWF Emerging Fields Programme “A new geometry for Einstein’s theory of relativity and beyond”. In addition, the position holder is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching profile of the faculty, especially in teacher training. He*she is also expected to collaborate with the Mathematics Education group at the faculty and to work at the interface between mathematics and mathematics didactics research.
