Head of Hostel (100%) - 10-month Fixed-term Contract
Location: Chavannes-près-Renens Start date: 1st September 2026 Salary grade: 10 (this scale applies to validated prerequisites, otherwise classification is at grade -1)
What you bring to our mission:
You manage the hostels under your responsibility by overseeing team management, coordinating activities, ensuring the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, as well as the overall smooth running of the sites.

In our hostels, the quality of support relies on the strength of the collective, the clarity of the framework and the daily commitment of the teams. You will be able to rely on an invested interdisciplinary team "” social workers, stewards, reception and orientation staff, supervisors "” as well as on a supportive and experienced collective of hostel managers.
We believe in sharing practices and participative management based on trust, listening, dialogue and empowerment. We are looking for someone capable of uniting, deciding, coordinating and giving meaning to action, ready to meet the challenges of professional, human and quality support."
Your key missions:
- You manage two hostels, plan and organise activities
- You manage human resources and the budget
- You ensure the smooth running of the hostels and activities related to beneficiaries as well as services
- You represent the hostels and the institution with various internal and external partners, including local authorities
- You implement and monitor compliance with the standards, operating rules and procedures of the hostel
Your key skills:
- Decision-making spirit and ability to act
- Planning and organisational skills
- Open-mindedness and flexibility
- Teamwork, listening and communication
- Respect for legal standards, internal procedures and confidentiality
- Resistance to stress, energy and tenacity
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the role
- Certified training in management
- Minimum 7 years' experience in one or more of the supervised functions, including some team and project management
- Strong interest in the field of migration
