Business Development Manager – EV Charging (AC Charging – Domestic/Home Solutions)

Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to help accelerate sales and market growth for innovative EV charging solutions. This role centres on promoting intelligent charging hardware and smart software for home/domestic use whilst developing strong partnerships across wholesale, reseller, and distribution networks. The company is a fast‑growing player in the sustainable energy and EV sector, offering an exciting chance to work at the cutting edge of the EV and smart home revolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, networking, and leveraging existing industry contacts.
- Build, nurture, and expand relationships with wholesalers, resellers, distributors, and direct customers to consistently grow revenue.
- Drive the full sales cycle, from lead generation and pitching, through negotiation, to closing deals and exceeding sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to align go‑to‑market strategies and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Manage accounts with a focus on retention, growth, and long‑term customer value.
- Advise customers on energy optimization, tariffs, and efficiency strategies to strengthen value propositions and build trust.
Key Experience
- Proven sales experience in the EV charging, solar, smart home, utilities or electrical sector.
- Strong background in working with wholesale, reseller, or distribution channels.
- Familiarity with energy management concepts and tariff optimisation is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for sustainable energy, EV adoption, and smart home technology.
- Proactive, self‑motivated approach in a dynamic, fast‑growing market.
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
- HQ based in Munich, with flexibility to travel.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Understanding of the EV charging, solar, or wider energy industry.
- Competence in using CRM tools and data‑driven sales approaches.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual fluency in German and English.
