The Opportunity

EVEREC is exclusively partnering with an established, technology-led business operating within the advanced battery and energy storage sector.

The company provides specialist battery solutions to customers across a range of industrial, commercial and high-performance applications, with a strong focus on technical innovation, product quality and international growth.

As part of its continued European expansion, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to develop new customer relationships and drive commercial growth across Germany and the wider European market.

This opportunity would suit a commercially driven professional with an established background in the lithium-ion battery industry, strong technical product knowledge and a proven track record of generating and closing new business.

The position offers significant autonomy, direct access to senior leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in developing the company's European commercial presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and secure new B2B customers across Germany and the wider European market.
  • Build and manage a new-business pipeline through proactive prospecting, outbound sales activity, networking and industry relationships.
  • Target OEMs, manufacturers, systems integrators and technical organisations requiring advanced battery solutions.
  • Promote and sell lithium-ion battery cells, modules, packs and complete/custom battery systems.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial customer engagement and technical qualification through to proposals, pricing, negotiation and contract closure.
  • Work closely with engineering and product development teams to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate battery solutions.
  • Engage with technical, engineering, procurement and commercial decision-makers throughout the sales process.
  • Develop opportunities across specialist sectors including drones/UAS, defence, robotics, autonomous systems, advanced mobility and industrial applications.
  • Attend customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions and industry events throughout Germany and Europe.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, customer information and sales forecasts within the CRM system.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor insights and customer feedback to support commercial and product strategy.

Experience & Requirements

Previous commercial experience selling lithium-ion battery products or systems is essential.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience selling one or more of the following:

  • Lithium-ion battery cells
  • Battery modules and battery packs
  • Complete or customised battery systems
  • High-performance battery solutions
  • Batteries for drones, UAVs and unmanned systems
  • Robotics and autonomous-system batteries
  • Defence and dual-use battery solutions
  • eVTOL and advanced-mobility battery systems
  • Industrial and specialist equipment batteries

Candidates must already understand the battery market and be comfortable holding technical and commercial discussions with customers.

A formal battery engineering qualification is not essential, but candidates should demonstrate a strong working understanding of:

  • Lithium-ion cell chemistries, including NMC/NCM and LFP/LiFePO4
  • Cell selection and application suitability
  • Energy density, power requirements and battery performance
  • Battery modules, packs and complete systems
  • Charging and discharging requirements
  • Battery integration into customer products and applications
  • Translating technical customer requirements into commercially viable solutions

Additional requirements:

  • Proven B2B new-business sales or business development experience within the battery industry.
  • Demonstrable success personally identifying, developing and winning new customers.
  • Experience managing technical sales opportunities from initial prospecting through to signed orders.
  • Ability to engage confidently with engineers, technical decision-makers, procurement teams and senior commercial stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills and customer relationship management.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable building a sales pipeline independently rather than relying on inherited accounts.
  • Native or fluent German, alongside professional working English.
  • Based in Germany, with willingness to travel nationally and across Europe.

Highly Desirable

  • Existing customer relationships within drones/UAS, defence, robotics, autonomous systems, eVTOL or advanced mobility.
  • Experience selling high-performance or custom-engineered battery solutions.
  • Established relationships with European OEMs, manufacturers or systems integrators.
  • Experience working alongside technical engineering teams to develop application-specific solutions.
  • Exposure to defence or dual-use technology markets.

What's on Offer

  • Base salary up to circa €100,000, with flexibility for an exceptional candidate.
  • Uncapped commission with significant earning potential.
  • Flexible, remote-based working arrangement.
  • European travel to customers, trade shows and industry events.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of business development across Germany and wider European markets.
  • Direct engagement with senior leadership and technical engineering teams.
  • Opportunity to represent established battery technology in growing specialist markets.
  • Significant autonomy and long-term career development opportunities.

Apply

If you have a proven background in selling lithium-ion battery cells, modules, packs or complete battery systems, and enjoy building new customer relationships within technically demanding markets, we would be interested in speaking with you.

Applications are welcomed from battery industry sales professionals throughout Germany, with Berlin preferred but not essential.

All applications will be handled confidentially by EVEREC.
