Overview
In this role, you lead Everest’s enterprise credit risk framework and provide independent oversight across underwriting, investments, reinsurance, and credit-sensitive exposures. You will shape risk appetite, capital allocation, and portfolio management as the senior credit risk subject matter expert. You’ll engage with executives, regulators, and rating agencies to elevate risk governance and resilience. This position offers meaningful scope to influence capital strategy and risk culture within a global insurer/credit risk framework.

Verantwortungsbereiche
- Serve as a key member of the ERM Leadership Team and contribute to risk strategy and governance
- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide vision for credit risk management
- Advise senior management on emerging credit risks and mitigation strategies
- Represent Credit Risk in executive committees, risk governance forums, and interactions with rating agencies and regulators
- Establish and chair the Group Credit Risk Committee with executive oversight of exposures across the enterprise
- Develop policies, standards, limits, and governance practices for credit risk management
- Deliver regular reporting and insightful analysis to leadership and risk committees
- Provide oversight and independent challenge of underwriting-related credit exposures (Surety, Trade Credit, Mortgage Insurance, Structured Credit, Large Deductible)
- Evaluate portfolio quality, concentrations, emerging risks, and aggregate exposures across lines
- Oversee investment credit risk, including spread, migration, and default risk; monitor reinsurance counterparty risk and fronting-related exposures
- Partner with Investments, Reinsurance, Underwriting, Finance, and Actuarial teams on risk identification and management
- Establish portfolio monitoring capabilities across counterparties, industries, regions; create enterprise-wide views of exposure and concentration risk
- Develop watchlists and escalation frameworks for high-risk exposures
- Design and implement a credit risk framework integrated with Everest’s risk appetite
- Set concentration limits and exposure management standards across underwriting and investment portfolios
- Lead stress testing and scenario analysis, translating results into risk management and capital planning insights
- Provide independent assessment of credit quality, underwriting assumptions, and portfolio construction; align with external ratings and market conditions
Zentrale Anforderungen
- 15+ years of experience in credit risk, enterprise risk management, underwriting, investments, or related financial risk disciplines
- Deep expertise in P&C underwriting credit risk (Surety, Trade Credit, Mortgage, Structured Credit, Large Deductible)
- Proven success building or leading enterprise credit risk frameworks in complex financial services or insurance organizations
- Experience interacting with executive leadership, boards, regulators, and rating agencies
