We are supporting a leading European private equity investor in the expansion of its Portfolio Strategy & Value Creation team in Germany.
The role works directly with portfolio company management teams on operational and strategic value creation initiatives, with a strong focus on implementation and measurable performance improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and implement operational value creation initiatives across portfolio companies
- Support operating model and organizational transformations
- Drive performance improvement and cost optimization initiatives
- Support restructuring and turnaround programs where relevant
- Develop and execute transformation roadmaps
- Establish KPIs and track operational and financial performance
- Support transformation PMOs and cross-functional implementation programs
- Assess businesses across their value chains and identify improvement opportunities
- Work directly with portfolio company management teams
- Support business planning and strategic initiatives
- Translate analysis into actionable implementation plans
- Take ownership of individual value creation workstreams
Candidate profile:
- Approximately 3–5 years of relevant professional experience
- Background in management consulting, operational consulting, restructuring, transformation or performance improvement
- Hands-on experience implementing operational improvement initiatives
- Experience with operating model and/or organizational transformation
- Strong analytical and financial capabilities
- Ability to demonstrate individual ownership of project workstreams
- PE or PE-backed portfolio company exposure is advantageous
- Relevant sector exposure may include Industrials, Automotive, Manufacturing, Business Services, Healthcare, Technology/Software or Consumer
- German and English language capability preferred
