Working Student – Information Security (w/m/d)
About the role:
As a Working Student in our Information Security team, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and growing field. You will support our team in various tasks related to information security, compliance, and risk management, contributing to the protection of our systems, data, and processes. This role offers a valuable learning experience for students interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity.
What you\’ll do:
Information Security Support:
- Maintain and update ISMS documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk registers.
- Support internal security audits, control checks, and awareness training programs.
Security Monitoring and Analysis:
- Review security alerts and logs to identify potential incidents and assist in their escalation.
- Contribute to the maintenance and configuration of security monitoring tools and threat intelligence research.
Compliance and Regulatory Support:
- Assist with GDPR compliance activities, such as data subject requests and privacy impact assessments.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of security controls (e.g., ISO 27001).
Secure Software Development:
- Support security testing, including vulnerability scans, within the software development lifecycle.
- Document and promote secure coding practices in collaboration with the development team.
What you’ll need:
- Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Security, Law) with at least 1 year remaining in your studies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English .
- Basic understanding of information security concepts, such as risk management, security controls, network security, or data protection.
- Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
