Overall Aim of the Job

As a Sales Specialist, you will provide comprehensive product, application, and technical support to our distributors, focusing on our range of Analytical Instruments (ANI). You will play a crucial role in business development and growth, ensuring effective sales governance in collaboration with sales management. This position is dedicated to supporting our indirect sales channel (distributor business) in Northern Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Distributor Sales Specialist : Collaborate closely with distributors, offering B2B support to local distributor teams and engaging with customers and end users to provide product and application expertise.
  • Sales and Business Development : Drive sales and business growth through the distributor channel in respective countries, overseeing and cooperating on distributor business sales governance.
  • On-site Demonstrations : Secure and conduct on-site demonstrations of advanced applications and solutions.
  • Distributor Performance Development : Enhance the performance of distributors in the respective product range and portfolio.
  • Training and Education : Increase the knowledge, expertise, and confidence of distributor sales team members through on-site customer visits and managing training sessions.
  • Event Participation : Organize and participate in local events such as workshops and exhibitions.
  • Team Collaboration : Act as part of the Industrial sales team, following strategies and targets set by management.
  • Cross-functional Cooperation : Work closely with the Marketing team, other sales colleagues, and the customer care supply chain administration team.
  • Opportunity Management : Manage sales opportunities in cooperation with distributors.
  • Market Mapping and Awareness : Contribute to local market mapping and awareness, proposing meaningful actions and activities to the manager.
  • Remote Support : Provide remote, online support, communication, and demonstrations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Education : Technical background (university degree is an advantage).
  • Professional Experience : Awareness of analytical methods, especially XRF.
  • Skills and Competencies :
    • Active knowledge of English.
    • Proficiency in PC skills and active use of office software (MS Office, etc.).
    • Pleasant demeanour and strong communication skills.
    • High commitment and flexibility, with a willingness to travel.
    • Solution-oriented thinking and acting.
