The Product Marketing Manager (m/f/d) for the OEM business in EMEA is part of the Global Product Management and Product Marketing organization, focusing on Micro-Imaging Systems’ OEM customers. This technical marketing role requires advanced knowledge of optics and Evident’s core microscope products. You will support the regional OEM Sales team and customers, acting as the OEM leader within the region and your will contribute to the global OEM marketing plan, including creating collateral and messaging based on their understanding of target customers, markets, and competition. Additionally, you will serve as the project manager for opportunities requiring modified or custom-built products for OEM customers.
Tasks
- Lead assigned custom projects, clarifying customer requirements, identifying business opportunities, managing customer expectations, and coordinating with product management and the factory to execute projects on time and within budget.
- Understand OEM market requirements, target customers, and the competitive landscape. Generate product positioning and marketing messages within the global marketing plan for the assigned region or market. Provide feedback to product management for product roadmap development.
- Coordinate with product management, sales, and marketing communications to create sales collateral and campaigns that drive sales leads and enable efficient qualification and closing of opportunities.
- Identify co-marketing opportunities, engage in partnerships, and maintain relationships with industry partners. Attend trade shows and conferences for market research, networking, and business development.
- Manage local product-related operations, including databases and systems.
- Provide technical support to OEM sales representatives and customers, requiring knowledge beyond published specifications.
- Design and deliver training to OEM sales representatives and customers.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience : At least 5 years in technical sales, product marketing, or product management.
- Technical Knowledge : Advanced understanding of optics and microscopy.
- Skills : Excellent communication, collaboration, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Language : Fluent in English; German is a plus.
- Project Management : Experience managing custom projects.
- Travel and Availability : Willingness to travel globally (30-40%) and 50% on-site availability.
