Responsibilities

Lead Global Innovation Projects : Lead cross-functional teams to drive new product development, manage project phases, conduct feasibility studies, and create detailed project plans and milestones. Ensure smooth resource/budget planning, monitoring, and technical support throughout the product launch process, while maintaining open and transparent stakeholder communication.

Market Insights & Strategy : Identify emerging market trends, analyze market potentials, benchmark against competitors, and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.

Technical Ceramide Expertise: Continuously enhance our scientific ceramide knowledge (biological function, cosmetic application, formulating etc.).

Innovation Pipeline : Contribute to the evolution of our innovation pipeline by generating new product ideas, system solutions, and platforms.

Intellectual Property Expansion : Strengthen our IP positioning by understanding the current IP landscape, analyzing the state of the art, and generating new IP for Evonik.

Collaborative Partnerships : Identify, negotiate, and structure collaborations with external institutes, universities, and partners.

Central Contact for Biological Efficacy Studies : Act as the liaison/point of contact for the Evonik Skin Institute in conducting biological efficacy studies.
Requirements

Educational Background : A scientific degree (Master’s or Bachelor’s).

Professional Experience : Several years of experience in R&D or application technology, preferably within the cosmetics industry.

Specialized Knowledge : Expertise in cosmetic active ingredients, particularly ceramides, and experience in IP and project management.

Cross-Functional/Segment Collaboration : Ability to work effectively across different disciplines.

Language Proficiency : Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken.

Personal Attributes : High initiative, flexibility, excellent communication skills, and a strong team mindset.
