We at the Cyber Security Operation Center protect Evonik’s digital territory. We are operationally responsible for the IT security of the network, end devices and servers. We ensure the integrity of our global network and protect Evonik’s intellectual property from attackers. The Center is also the Group’s information hub when it comes to internal security incidents as well as external threats.

What your challenges are

• You work in the area of offensive security
• You are involved in conducting penetration tests and security assessments of windows-based networks and systems
• You will be responsible for using tools and techniques to exploit vulnerabilities and bypass security controls, and identify and assess vulnerabilities and evaluate the criticality of discovered vulnerabilities and possible countermeasures
• You will participate in red team activities and simulate realistic cyber attacks
• You perform threat analysis for the systems to be tested
• You analyze and process alerts in the area of cyber security (advisory process)
• You document and present the tests carried out and the vulnerabilities found

What we are looking for

• You have a successfully completed technical university degree in (business) computer science or a comparable field of study in the IT environment with relevant professional experience
• You have several years of professional experience, good knowledge and practical experience in Web Application Penetration Testing/ Infrastructure Penetration Testing and cyber security
• You are familiar with Windows and Linux client/server operating systems and cloud technologies
• You have in-depth knowledge of tools such as Bloodhound, Mimikatz, Metasploit and some programming knowledge (Python, Bash, etc.)
• You have experience with Red Teaming and source code analysis
• You have a very good command of German and English
• You are committed, have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and have a high degree of customer orientation as well as an open-minded attitude towards innovation and change
