Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Acoustic Consultant to conduct acoustic assessments, manage noise protection projects, and provide technical expertise in the areas of environmental noise and building acoustics.
The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering or natural sciences, experience in construction planning, and strong project management skills. The role involves independently managing projects, conducting noise measurements, preparing technical reports, and coordinating with clients, architects, and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently prepare acoustic assessments and technical reports for traffic noise, commercial noise, sports facilities, and recreational areas, particularly in urban and construction planning.
- Conduct on-site noise measurements, evaluate data, and analyze measurement results.
- Manage projects independently from quotation preparation through technical assessment and final delivery.
- Take technical responsibility for assigned projects while ensuring quality through the four-eyes review principle.
- Manage approximately 10–20 projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and government authorities to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, acoustic calculations, and project reports.
- Monitor project progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project invoicing upon completion.
- Identify technical challenges and develop effective noise control and mitigation solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in construction planning, particularly in road, rail, commercial, sports, or recreational projects.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Experience with CadnaA acoustic calculation software is an advantage.
- German language proficiency at C2 level, both written and spoken.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in communicating with clients, architects, and regulatory authorities.
- High level of reliability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional commitment.
