About the Role
Excis Compliance is looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer (L2) to provide on-site IT support at our client's location in Stuttgart, Germany.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering reliable desktop and end-user support, managing IT incidents and service requests through a ticketing system, and ensuring a high level of internal customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for an IT support professional with strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 desktop support and end-user technical assistance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, desktop, and end-user issues.
- Manage incidents and service requests through the designated ticketing system.
- Deliver timely and effective technical support while maintaining service quality.
- Build strong working relationships with users and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate technical issues and resolutions clearly in English.
- Travel occasionally to spoke hubs or smaller client sites as required.
- Follow established IT support procedures, security policies, and service standards.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in desktop support, IT support, or end-user computing.
- Previous experience working with an IT ticketing system.
Technical Skills
- Desktop support and troubleshooting.
- End-user support and incident management.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service processes.
Behavioural Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong relationship-building and customer service abilities.
- A proactive, professional, and solution-oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site client environment.
Language and Eligibility
- English proficiency at C1 level.
- German citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, on-site assignment at the client's location.
- Expected working hours: approximately 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, subject to confirmation.
- Occasional travel to spoke hubs or smaller sites may be required. Valid Driver's License required.
- Local German employment with direct full-time employment.
