We are seeking an experienced Manager – Guarantees to join a leading international investment group within its Group Finance function, supporting complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and portfolio management activities across Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing guarantee-related activities throughout the investment lifecycle, from transaction execution and due diligence to post‑acquisition integration and ongoing portfolio support. Working closely with M&A, Treasury, Legal, Corporate Finance and portfolio companies, you will manage guarantee facilities, negotiate with banking partners and ensure effective risk management across both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with experience in private equity, corporate finance, treasury or transaction advisory. The role offers exposure to high‑profile international acquisitions, collaboration with senior decision‑makers and the opportunity to shape guarantee management strategies within a highly acquisitive investment organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate guarantee‑related activities across buy‑side and sell‑side mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Structure, negotiate and manage guarantee facilities with banking partners and financial institutions.
• Support transaction teams by preparing and reviewing guarantee‑related documentation for due diligence and virtual data rooms.
• Collaborate with M&A, Legal, Treasury and external advisers to identify, assess and mitigate guarantee‑related risks throughout acquisitions, divestments and integrations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for portfolio companies on guarantee‑related matters, including facility utilisation, renewals, amendments and new requirements.
• Manage relationships with banks and guarantee providers to ensure efficient execution and optimisation of guarantee facilities.
• Monitor guarantee exposure across the investment portfolio, ensuring compliance with internal governance and financing requirements.
• Drive process improvements and standardisation of guarantee management practices across the Group.

Your Profile

• Fluent English language skills are essential.
• Experience within Private Equity, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Transaction Advisory or Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), with significant exposure to guarantee‑related activities.
• Hands‑on experience supporting both buy‑side and sell‑side transactions.
• Proven experience negotiating bank guarantee facilities, surety facilities or similar financing arrangements with banking partners.
• Experience supporting due diligence processes, including the preparation and management of virtual data room documentation.
• Strong understanding of post‑merger integration processes and ongoing portfolio company support.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with investment teams, banks, legal advisers and senior management.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when managing relationships with financial institutions and internal stakeholders.
