Clearance Officer - Explora Journeys

p p b JOB PURPOSE /b /p /p p An exciting opportunity exists for a world class Clearance Officer to join our newly created luxury travel brand “Explora Journeys”. The Clearance Officer manages ship’s clearance operations in line with local and Explora Journeys requirements. Maintains accurate Guest documentation and information to ensure the ship is granted a timely and compliant clearance in port and works diplomatically with all shoreside authorities. Manages collection of documentation from Guests as per local requirements. /p p p b KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES /b /p /p p • Responsible for all Immigration, Customs and Visa matters, ship certificates and other documentation that relate to Port Clearances. /p p • Primary point of contact with port agencies and local authorities for all pre-arrival, arrival, departure and en-route clearances. /p p • Primary point of contact for embarkation clearance. This includes document screening, local check-in staff, port terminal coordination. /p p • Primary point of contact for disembarkation clearance. This includes guest inspections and entry requirements. /p p • Liaise with People Services for compliancy with arrival, departure, embarkation and disembarkation matters related to hosts. /p p • To assist with financial and guest services tasks as needed. /p p • Required to treat guests sensitive data according to the Standard Procedures. /p p p b QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience) /b /p /p p • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position in a luxury, upscale cruise line. /p p • Excellent communication and customer care skills. /p p • Problem solving skills. Ability to work independently. /p p • Has a strong understanding of socio-cultural aspects on worldwide itineraries. /p p • Proficient in Computers Microsoft Office Suite. /p p • Knowledge of Fidelio/Otalio Cruise System and POS systems is an advantage. /p p • Fluent English.
