Overview In this Lead Engineer role, you take technical ownership of complex building automation projects across pharma, life sciences, and industrial sectors. You will lead interdisciplinary teams, shape automation concepts and standards, and guide projects from concept to commissioning. You’ll drive integration with HVAC, electrical, IT, and process systems while ensuring quality, compliance, and knowledge sharing. This position offers a chance to influence standards and deliver sustainable automation at scale, partnering with clients and suppliers. Verantwortungsbereiche Technical leadership and coordination of BAS scopes across complex projects Development of automation concepts, standards, and best practices for BA/BMS/EMS Lead and coordinate building automation engineers and resolve complex issues Ensure technical integration between BAS, HVAC, electrical, IT, process, and safety systems Quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance of all automation deliverables Review and approve automation concepts, specs, and engineering docs Prepare tender docs, RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, and advise on awards Act as primary technical contact for clients, PM, suppliers, and engineering disciplines Support cost estimation, schedule planning, and technical risk management in BAS scope Promote knowledge sharing and mentor engineers Zentrale Anforderungen Several years of experience in design and implementation of BAS projects Experience leading engineering teams or in a Lead Engineer role Strong knowledge of BAS, BMS, and EMS Good knowledge of Swiss standards (SIA, SWKI, VKF) and EN/ISO standards Experience developing and evaluating automation concepts, specs, and tender docs Strong understanding of interfaces between BAS, HVAC, electrical, and process facilities Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and develop sustainable solutions Coaching and mentoring skills for engineers and senior engineers Strong German and English communication skills Willingness to travel within Switzerland and up to 500 km for project work Coaching and mentoring Strong communication Cross-functional collaboration BAS/BMS/EMS expertise Automation concepts and standards development Tender document preparation and supplier evaluation
