Overview
In this role you drive environmental performance on assigned projects by implementing and continuously improving the Environmental Management Execution Plan. You ensure regulatory compliance, permits, and client requirements while minimizing environmental impact during construction and project execution. You lead risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting of environmental data and guide contractors on controls and waste management. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote sustainability and continuous improvement.
Verantwortungsbereiche
- Develop and update the Project Environmental Management Execution Plan ensuring regulatory and client alignment
- Identify, assess, and manage environmental risks including emissions, waste, water, noise, and contamination
- Establish monitoring systems and ensure accurate collection, validation, and reporting of environmental performance data
- Oversee contractor environmental compliance and provide guidance on controls, waste management, and pollution prevention
- Conduct site inspections and audits, drive corrective and preventive actions, and manage incident investigations
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives through training and performance optimization
Zentrale Anforderungen
- EHS experience in major industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings
- Ability to work with diverse teams across cultures and hierarchical levels
- Very good German and good English skills
- Willingness to travel and stay on site for extended periods
- Formal EHS qualification (SiFA, Nebosh) or equivalent
- Educational background at Master/Technician/Engineer level
