Specialist Purchasing (m/f/d) in Renningen

Overview

In this role you ensure reliable material supply for customer projects by proactively managing shortages and coordinating with suppliers. You will work closely with Procurement, Logistics and Project Teams to maintain project continuity and operational excellence. You will address risks early, monitor deliveries, and drive corrective actions to minimize delays. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to shape procurement activity and strengthen supply resilience within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

Verantwortungsbereiche

• Proactively manage material shortages to support ongoing projects
• Identify critical material needs and early supply risk signals
• Monitor delivery schedules, order confirmations, and follow up on commitments
• Escalate supplier delivery issues and drive corrective actions
• Coordinate material requirements with project management, production planning, manufacturing and logistics
• Support procurement activities including supplier quotations and order processing
• Identify alternative sourcing options when needed
• Maintain ERP data (proALPHA) and prepare shortage/status reports

Zentrale Anforderungen

• Several years of experience in material planning, materials management, procurement, or SCM in a manufacturing or project-driven environment
• Strong expertise in material shortage management (demand planning, delivery tracking, supplier escalation, procurement)
• Proficient in ERP systems (ideally proALPHA) and Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
• Very good German and English skills
• Completed commercial or technical vocational training or equivalent qualification
