Tax administrations are transforming, often requiring submissions of digital files alongside tax returns: e-invoicing, SAF-T, real-time reporting, etc. Our Digital Tax Authorities (DTA) offering helps clients become compliant and implement solutions to meet these new requirements.
EY’s EMEIA Tax Transformation and Technology team (EMEIA TTT) supports companies in automating their tax processes. We work with a range of clients across EMEIA, including FTSE100 and Fortune 500 companies, helping them explore possibilities and enable change.
Preferred locations are Belgium, Finland, Portugal, France, Germany, and the UK. Qualified applicants from other locations will also be considered.
Your key responsibilities
- Deliver DTA projects, helping clients leverage technology solutions to ensure compliance with e-invoicing and e-reporting requirements.
- Provide high-quality training on regulatory expectations in specific countries.
- Support end-to-end compliance projects for e-invoicing and e-reporting.
- Assess clients’ processes for compliance with regulations.
- Assist in selecting appropriate solutions for DTA compliance.
- Evaluate existing e-invoicing solutions for tax compliance.
- Support the implementation of new e-invoicing solutions in collaboration with clients’ IT teams and vendors.

Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, IT, Accounting, Tax, or related fields.
- At least three years of relevant experience.
- Strong interest in technology’s role in business processes.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Motivated team player with organizational and time management skills.
- Broad understanding of tax accounting and processes.
Preferred qualifications
- Background in Indirect Tax: compliance or advisory.
- Experience with e-reporting and e-invoicing tools (SAP DRC, Thomson Reuters, Vertex, SOVOS, Pagero, Avalara, etc.).
- ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft).
- Technical certifications.
- Experience defining data/reporting needs for tax departments.
- Management of large, multidisciplinary projects impacting tax.
- Self-starter with good time management skills.
