Overview

Consultant – EY-Parthenon – Transactions Corporate Finance (graduate) role at EY-Parthenon. EY-Parthenon\\\’s Transactions Corporate Finance (TCF) department focuses on Transaction Diligence, Valuation, Modeling & Economics and mid-size M&A Advisory. The team emphasizes collaboration, innovation and a proactive mindset to build a better working world. The position is based in Zurich with a focus on Transaction Diligence, starting in February 2026 (earliest).

The opportunity provides a broad foundation across sectors and domains, including Due Diligence, Valuations, Financial Modeling and M&A Lead Advisory, with a path to develop a well-rounded transaction advisor profile.

Responsibilities

• Perform Financial Due Diligences relating to the sale or acquisition of companies together with a young and dynamic, multi-cultural project team
• Identify risks and items that should be considered in the purchase price and provide input to share/asset purchase agreements
• Apply analytics tools in your analysis and drive the application of digital solutions within TCF
• Prepare transaction documents such as information memorandum, teaser, management presentation
• Prepare potential buyer and target lists and assist in reach-out to interested parties
• Populate virtual data rooms and support the Q&A process during the due diligence phase
• Support in the negotiation phase of a transaction as well as in preparation of signing and closing
• Perform company and corporate valuations using market and comparable transaction multiples and the DCF method
• Conduct industry and comparable company research, analyze business models and cost of capital to better understand a target company
• Carry out company and asset valuations using various methods in accordance with international standards
• Prepare detailed reports outlining the due diligence findings, valuation and related assumptions
• Create financial models and prepare data analysis and data visualization of large databases to support decision-making
• Evaluate intangible assets in the context of PPA (IFRS 3); prepare and review impairment tests (IAS 36) and complex securities valuations (IFRS 2)
• Support EY Audit Teams in impairment test projects and cost of capital computations
• Gain experience across different sectors and benefit from mobility programs abroad

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Completed university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or in a STEM field
• Strong interest in transactions and corporate finance, demonstrated through relevant work experience or internships (1 to 3 years) in Transaction/Corporate Finance
• Experience with international clients and multiple accounting standards including IFRS, US GAAP and other local standards
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and German; knowledge of French or Italian is welcomed
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills
• Sharp analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset
• Team player with the ability to work with people at all levels
• Strong work initiative and adaptability; enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity
