Overview
Business Analytics Lead – Vienna, Austria (Roche, mySugr). The role focuses on providing data‑driven insights for RDC strategy, serving as single source of truth for portfolio metrics, and leading analytics initiatives. Responsibilities
Identify data needed to answer RDC’s most strategic questions and provide insights that shape RDC strategy and portfolio. Serve as single source of truth for RDC customer portfolio metrics and orchestrate RDC‑wide business analytics. Create strategies to collect data, analyze information, conduct research, and implement analytics. Develop, implement and evaluate innovative business analytic solutions that meet internal and external customer needs. Act as bridge between traditionally siloed data sets (Finance, Portfolio, CX, Sales) to inform RDC business decisions and promote alignment with RDC Strategy. Lead key strategic initiatives related to RDC‑wide data analytics (e.g. executive dashboard creation; transversal governance of data requirements/definition) – develop and coordinate project plans with stakeholders. Collaborate with other business intelligence functions (incl. Finance, Commercial) to harmonize and simplify KPI identification, gathering, collection and visualization processes. Work with technical colleagues in R&D and IT, identifying business requirements related to data analytics and supporting development of solutions that meet customer requirements. Serve as accountable business owner of key reporting solutions (e.g. Looker), acting as a super‑user able to interrogate data and translate it into actionable insight. Provide expertise with respect to portfolio analytics and key strategic recommendations that facilitate trade‑off discussions. Collaborate with portfolio managers to articulate and visualize a comprehensive view of the existing pipeline projects and portfolio solutions across RDC solutions. Act as an extended member of RDC’s solution development team at distinct points in product development – providing Business Analytic expertise. Work in concert with RDC’s R&D iPDM Experience Delivery team to promote translation of Business Analytics requirements into consistent architecture and design standards for solution development teams. Champion translations of Roche’s integrated Personalised Diabetes Management ambition and Data strategy into recommendations for the solution development teams to execute. Participate as a ‘visitor’ to RDC solution development Agile Release Trains (ARTs), providing standard SAFe ceremonies and hands‑on support as required. Coach and mentor, build competencies in business analytics via training, education of methods, tools and frameworks. Promote insights‑backed development and data‑driven decision making, deliver presentations (internal and external), and create an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communications, sense of urgency and high motivation. Serve as a catalyst, bridge builder and change agent – promoting strategic focus, audience‑driven communication and structured problem thinking. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Business Administration (advanced degree preferred). Expertise in data science, analytics and statistical methods. Familiarity with standard BI and analytics platforms (Tableau, Oracle) and hands‑on experience with Looker preferred. Minimum 5+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry, preferably diagnostics/medical technology. Strong quantitative skills – particularly related to analysis, visualization and reporting of data. Experience in Lean Analytics, digital business and healthcare analytics. Competence in designing dashboards, information design and visualization of data for education and decision making. Ethics and compliance knowledge, data privacy, data security regulations, and data‑security at the enterprise level. Business fluency in English; German language skills preferred; additional languages (especially Spanish) are an advantage. EU citizen or holder of a valid Austrian work permit. Strong strategic focus, measurable impact, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build networks, inspire agile working and interact with senior level stakeholders.
