ph3 Overview /h3p As the Group Head for Safety Data Acquisition Partnering (DAP), you will lead a high‑performing team focused on establishing strategic collaborations, ensuring compliance, and governing the vital “Front‑End” pillar of Patient Safety Operations. In this pivotal role you will merge the oversight of external asset integrations and contractual safety arrangements with the advanced management of our upstream safety data supply chain. /ph3 Key Responsibilities /h3ulli Drive Operational Strategy: develop and deliver clear operational strategies that align with global safety goals and broader ambitions. /lili Lead Inspire: cultivate an agile team environment that fosters self‑organisation, innovation, experimentation, and autonomous decision‑making. /lili Manage Safety Agreements: drive the development, negotiation, and implementation of fit‑for‑purpose safety agreements while facilitating the efficient integration and sharing of external data. /lili Support Due Diligence: partner with internal and external customers during company and molecule acquisitions to pre‑emptively address and assess contractual requirements. /lili Provide Strategic Guidance: deliver expert knowledge on safety agreement strategies across diverse setups, including licensing agreements, clinical trial collaborations, and PV service providers. /lili Innovate Data Acquisition: partner globally to influence how technologies such as artificial intelligence, cognitive computing, and automation can enhance safety data acquisition. /lili Govern the Data Supply Chain: collaborate across Affiliates, Pharma, and Diagnostics to secure timely, high‑quality safety data while ensuring strict compliance with global regulations. /lili Ensure Quality Compliance: maintain full oversight of Quality Management System (QMS) processes to ensure constant inspection readiness across operations. /lili Maintain deep process expertise within the team, particularly among Business Process Owners (BPOs), ensuring this knowledge is connected and consistently applied across the organisation. /li /ulh3 Who You Are /h3p You are a visionary, systems‑thinking leader who thrives on connecting people, ideas, and technologies across complex matrix environments. You bring a collaborative, growth‑oriented mindset and are passionate about mentoring diverse teams to unlock their full potential. /ph3 Qualifications /h3ulli Extensive Industry Experience: significant experience within pharmacovigilance systems, operations, and global PV regulatory obligations. /lili Contractual Expertise: proven track record in safety contract management and negotiating agreements across diverse stakeholder setups. /lili Agile Leadership: demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and empowering high‑performing teams in multicultural environments using agile methodologies. /lili Technological Fluency: a strong awareness of digital health systems and technical advancements, particularly in how AI and cognitive computing apply to data workflows. /lili Strategic Influencing Skills: exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and drive decisions without direct authority. /lili Academic Background: a degree in a relevant Life Science or data science discipline (MSc, PhD, or equivalent qualification strongly preferred). /li /ulh3 Location /h3p This position is based in Basel, Switzerland.
