The Position The opportunity – Automating the validation of a pharmacometric model building tool (Pharmpy/Pharmr) within Roche’s drug development environment – Supporting the improvement of Pharmpy/Pharmr using real pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) datasets – Attending department meetings to understand the impact of modelling and simulation on drug development – Pharmaceutical Sciences (PS) is a global function within Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED). As a team member in the Predictive Modelling (PM) chapter of PS, you will work in close collaboration with scientists in pRED, using brand new modelling and simulation tools. – The duration of the position is set for 6 months. You will be based in Basel, Switzerland Who you are – Basic knowledge of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, as well as statistics (theory and application) – Demonstrated competence in coding in R (handling data, writing functions, reporting). – Basic knowledge of NONMEM – Working towards a Master’s degree (or recently completed it), or currently pursuing a PhD in a quantitative subject area (Pharmacometrics or a related field), with a strong curiosity about growing hands-on experience in Pharmacometrics within a drug development setting – Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Ability to work independently, craft and perform experiments, interpret results, and explore new scientific methodologies – Proficiency in spoken and written English The preferred start date of this internship is June 2025 at the latest.
