As Investor Relations Officer you will gain deep insight into all aspects of investor relations at a world‑leading, science‑driven pharmaceutical company. Your core responsibilities include ensuring the correct flow of relevant information and company messages, analysing financial community expectations and sentiments, and developing the financial community’s understanding of Roche’s pharmaceutical business, especially the development pipeline. Responsibilities
Liaise with franchise heads, product teams, business units, competitive intelligence, business development, communication and finance to stay up to date with the Pharma pipeline and ongoing business developments. Contribute to quarterly results presentations for the management team, focusing on preparation and review of slide decks and Q&A. Organise IR events, develop story lines and contribute to external presentations delivered by senior management at medical conferences and IR company days. Review and provide feedback to align IR and communication teams for Media & IR releases in assigned areas. Prepare supporting materials and draft Q&A documents for senior management prior to investor conferences or visits. Compile analyst notes to summarise financial community sentiment, expectations and projections. Act as a key point of contact for analysts and investors for all sustainability (ESG) related requests. Liaise with Sustainability, Access, Safety Health & Environment, Legal and Communications on sustainability and governance topics. Manage all ESG content on the IR homepage. Qualifications
Strong life science/medical background with working experience in the pharmaceutical industry, pharma consulting, insights businesses, or the financial industry (Pharma/Biotech financial analyst). Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry roles such as business development, scientific/medical communication, competitive intelligence, M&D, R&D, or related fields. Strong interest in trends shaping the pharmaceutical, biotech industry and in capital markets, including company valuations. Ability to network and liaise with a wide variety of groups within the company to obtain and share relevant information. Excellent narrative development skills and the ability to explain scientific and business concepts. Experience developing presentations on scientific, industry or business related topics. Excellent proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint / Google Slides. Excellent written and spoken English; German is an advantage. Equal Opportunity Employer
