Position Overview Principal Enterprise Architect responsible for architectural oversight across cross‑domain initiatives within Roche Digital Technology (RDT).
Provides strategic guidance, maintains vision and roadmap, drives alignment, and optimizes the enterprise technology landscape.
Responsibilities Maintain vision, roadmap, and landscape for cross‑domain initiatives.
Define target architectures aligned with Enterprise strategy, Ix Technology, and business objectives.
Lead architecture governance to drive cross‑domain alignment.
Assess and adopt external technology trends; identify opportunities for reuse, consolidation, and optimization.
Guide others in resolving highly complex cross‑functional issues with organizational impact.
Define and manage architecture, governance, and technology across domains.
Define target architectures across domains and actively manage technical debt.
Communicate complex ideas, influence senior stakeholders, and gather support for new concepts.
Maintain the vision and roadmap for selected cross‑domain initiatives and propose initiatives advancing cross‑domain goals.
Define and roll out the PACE Layering classification framework, conduct value stream mapping, and provide architectural insights.
Qualifications Proven experience providing architectural oversight and strategic guidance within a cross‑domain context.
Experience guiding complex cross‑functional issues and defining architecture and governance aligned with enterprise stakeholder needs.
Track record as a recognized leader in the architecture community, defining target architectures aligned with business objectives and Ix Technology Strategies.
Excellent knowledge and practical experience in two or more domain areas and/or technology areas.
Proficiency in overseeing and governing Information, Technology, Business, and Application Architecture across multiple domains.
Strong capability to define and roll out the PACE Layering classification framework, conduct value stream mapping, and execute classification mapping.
Expertise in driving vendor technology assessments, evaluating external technology trends across domains, and actively managing technical debt.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence senior‑level stakeholders and gather support for new concepts.
Strategic foresight to identify opportunities and propose initiatives that advance cross‑domain goals and optimize the application landscape.
